Cleaning floor is a daily chore which cannot be ignored if you are looking for a fresh and neat home with no mess around in the corners and on the floor. But when you are going to cleaning a floor, you need to be sure that you are aware of the cleaning needs of your floor. It depends on the materials with which the floor is made up of because the floor could be of wood, laminated, tiled etc.
Depending on the materials with which the floor is made up of you can decide on the different ways, tools and the various cleaning agents that can be used on the floor.
Wooden floors may need a lot of care and you need to be sure if you are taking care of the floor by cleaning with the right agents and the tools which may not harm the floor and its polish.
Whereas if we have a tiled floor, the cleaning process would be different and maybe a little easier and less complicated as compared to laminated or wooden floors.
The tiled floor has polished tiles on them but their surface is much sturdier and least subjected to quick wear and tear as compared to wooden floors.
Cleaning a tiled floor on a daily basis only requires a duster or a broom to make it easier to clean it and remove the litter, and dust from the surface.
In case if you need to clean the tiled floor thoroughly, after broom and dusting you must make use of a soft wet mop that may help you remove the dirt and stains. In case if you need to be sure the grout lines are also cleaned thoroughly, make sure you use the detergent or floor cleaning agent.
After applying the cleaning agent on the floor or detergent whatever you are using, make sure to clean it with a damp cloth or wash it away after a few minutes.
After clearing the detergent solution. You may use a cloth mop to make sure the floor is clean and dry from all corners and surface areas.
Make use of a dry piece of cloth to give a dry and silky touch on the floor and it also assures that you will not get a cloudy look on the tiles.
Always try to avoid using a dirty cloth on the floor because if you do so you may get a foggy look on the tiles which may make them look even dirtier after cleaning.
Don’t leave the floor wet for a long time as it may again develop stains of water and dust on it.
Make sure to use cotton cloth mop to clean the floor because sponge mop on a dirty floor surface may cause the dirt to stay in the grout lines that may become difficult to clean later on.
