We have been in England for a few weeks now and found out about the colony of seals that can be seen at the beaches in Norfolk. They are there all year round, but the best time to see them is between November and January when they have their pups.
This Sunday Chris and I drove out to Horsey Beach with a friend of ours to get a glimpse of these seals splashing in the water and sunbathing on the sand.
We arrived at the beach around 2:00 PM and were lucky enough to have a beautiful English day! The sun was high in the sky and the breeze not too brisk. We strolled the beach and would periodically see a seal’s head pop out from the water.
Twenty minutes into our walk and we smelt them before we saw them. The best way to describe the smell would be to dip horse manure in fish. But,we forgot all about the smell when the darling pups bounced along the sand starring up at our camera in adorable confusion.
We had such a nice day by the water. Remember, the seals should be in the area all year long making this a great spot to visit anytime you find yourself in England.
